Simons Architecture offers community architectural services with a heart to truly serve our community's non-profits, ministries and schools. Customized rates, unique designs and thoughtful construction options are offered as solutions the unique challenges many community projects may face to stay in a conservative budget. The Rock at Noonday is a great example of a community project completed with many hearts, who served willingly to keep the project on schedule and on budget. The Rock offers the homeless and others in need in Albuquerque a place to receive meals, social and legal services, laundry facilities, Worship, Bible study and more.
A decade later, Simons redesigned The Rock's interior spaces to serve the needs of the diverse communities of Albuquerque better. This redesign includes The Women's Center -- a safe space [opening 2026] to rescue women and children in distress, from abuse and trafficking circumstances with an expansion of the food pantry and clothing selections to serve anyone filling in any gaps.
Legacy Church has partnered with communities in Albuquerque and Rio Rancho to save buildings and meet needs.
Legacy Premiere in Rio Rancho is unique of example of Simons designing interior and exterior plans for revitalizing an existing theater, while incorporating an expanding church campus. Today, both are thriving in one area to serve all in this community.
Likewise, Legacy saved an empty corporate structure on Historic Route 66 and challenged Simons with designing one of the Boldest Basketball Venues in the Southwest, called Legacy Center, Opening January 2026, Legacy Center stands tall at 30 feet with 40,000 square feet providing competition space for up to 4 events simultaneously, including 4 basketball courts, 4 volleyball courts, wrestling, weightlifting, golf simulation and a quarter mile raised running track. The only venue of its kind in New Mexico.
For 2026 and beyond, Legacy is Ready for some Football! Simons has designed David C. Chavez Stadium to not only host the Legacy Academy Silverbacks but also serve as a modern Central NM Community outdoor sports and events venue for all to enjoy. Check out the renderings below.
